Honda : Element 2007 Honda element 4wd rebuilt salvage title Picture(s) and Description:

Honda

I purchased this vehicle on ebay a couple of months ago, from Erick's auto sales. It has a rebuilt salvage tiltle. The pictures I've included are from the original ad, but the vehicle appears exactly as it does in the photos. Unfortunately, while attempting to have the vehicle registered in Alberta, canada, I have been informed that to do so, I would require photos of the vehicle prior to being repaired, as well as a list of parts replaced...none of which I can obtain. It appears I have no alternative but to try and resell the vehicle. If you choose to place an offer, please be aware of the licensing requirements in your State/Province. Now, About the vehicle itself. According to the information in the original listing, the vehicle had suffered damage to the right/front...door, headlight, bumper and fender. The listing placed by Erick's auto sales stated that all repairs to the Honda were 'professionally' done. However, when the vehicle arrived at the border (via Transport truck), I noticed some 'imperfections': 1)the fender didn't align perfectly well with the grill...nothing major, but noticeable 2) several of the front bumper/trim pieces were not properly clipped together..in fact some clips were missing altogether. The truck driver had to tie a piece of twine around a piece of trim on the front/bottom of the bumper, as it was starting to come loose. As I was driving the vehicle home on the highway, the inside 'liner?' of the driver's fender came loose at the bottom, and was partially damages by the tire. Again, simply missing the appropriate clips. 3) Once the vehicle was actually home, I noticed that the windshield washer reservior is completely missing. 4) On the inside, the far right corner of the dash (where it meets the windshield) is slightly lower that the other side. 5) It was stated that all airbags were replaced, but I have no way to confirm that. Having said all that, I drove the vehicle for the Alberta/Montana Border to Edmonton (about 330 miles), and had no problems at all. The cruise works, and the car drives straight and smooth - does not pull to the side. There was no frame damage to the vehicle, and the problems i've mentioned above could be basically cosmetic.... then again, maybe not. The last thing I will mention is that the radio will need the security code to re-activate. I will also include a number of items I purchased for the vehicle ( in my naivete), such as a rear spoiler (in correct color), factory running boards (for 2009/10 year, but I assume they will fit; dash trim kit (not factory, but in brushed aluminum finish)...all- in- all, about a $900.00 value. I don't know what else i can tell you. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask. Thanx.
